Friendly competition on the tennis court while also offering an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause.

Every August, our dedicated members volunteer and collaborate with the RCC Charitable Foundation to present the highly anticipated Summer Classic Tennis Tournament & Silent Auction. This exciting event welcomes individuals of all skill levels to engage in friendly competition on the tennis court while also offering an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause. As a proud initiative of the RCC Charitable Foundation 501(c)3, the Summer Classic encompasses various components, including sponsorships, a captivating silent auction, player registration and more. Through these integral elements, we aim to make a positive impact on the local community by raising funds for a carefully selected local charity.

This year, we are proud to support The WARM Place, a local charity where children and families who are grieving find hope. By participating in this tournament, you can have a great time on the court while making a direct contribution to this important cause. The Warm Place (What About Remembering Me Center, Inc). provides a safe, compassionate space for children and their families grieving the death of a loved one.

The mission of The WARM Place is to provide free year-round grief support services to children ages three and a half to 18 and their families, as well as young adults ages 19 to 25 who have experienced the death of a mother, father, sister, brother, or other loved one for as long as they need.

To kick off the tournament, we have a special event planned on Friday. Join us for live music, complimentary appetizers with registration, purchase refreshing drinks that go directly back to the charity, capture fun memories at the photo booth, enjoy our wonderful vendors and pop-ups, and participate in the exciting silent auction. Additionally, there will be merchandise and table arrangements available for purchase, providing another opportunity to contribute while snagging some great items. It will be a weekend filled with fun and festivities, and for a good cause!

By registering for the Summer Classic, your $125 fee covers not only your participation in competitive tennis matches but also grants you access to the Kickoff Event on Friday, breakfast and lunch on the tournament day, and a swag bag filled with goodies. It's a comprehensive package designed to ensure that you have a fantastic experience while supporting The WARM Place.

But that's not all! Even if you're not playing in the tournament, there are still plenty of ways to get involved. You can donate online to contribute directly to the cause, donate a valuable item to the Silent Auction, become a sponsor to showcase your company and help cover event costs and give directly to The WARM Place, or simply shop the Silent Auction for unique treasures. Your involvement in any of these capacities will have a positive impact on The WARM Place and the children and families they serve.

The Summer Classic promises to be an event to remember! Together, let's serve up some incredible moments on the tennis court and serve our community by supporting The WARM Place. We can't wait to see you there, as we rally together to make a positive impact both on and off the tennis court.

PLAYER INFORMATION

Format of Play:

  • Best two out of three sets, with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
  • To speed up the pace of play, we will be following the No Advantage scoring method.

No Advantage Scoring works as follows:

  • At Deuce, the Receiving Team chooses the serving side.
  • The Serving Team serves to the chosen side.
  • The winner of that point wins the game.
